A Message to Professional Landscape DesignersThank you very much for visiting our new website. We're a new company with a new way of thinking about landscape furniture. And, we're out to build our reputation, starting now.
As a professional landscape designer, you will immediately recognize a new concept in landscape furniture and the interesting product line that has resulted. It gives you an exciting option, another tool, that will help you to 'populate' the outdoor spaces you create. Whether it be a conversation group or a solitary bench on top of a hill; a Jervis Bench is designed to be there, be comfortable, and to last. It is our philosophy that landscape furniture should be part of the place, whether it be a focal point or something more subtle. Landscape furniture should be like the trees and grasses, like the rocks and water. It's function is to encourage people, like your customers, to spend more time in the places they have created. Isn't that the point?
Jervis Bench is not just a product line, it is a system of economics, efficiencies, and pragmatic creativity. Our aim is to be able to provide an extremely low cost product that truly meets the highest standards. The 2X+ Rule is basic to our culture. This means that when you shop for alternatives, do not compare us with other products priced similarly. It's only fair to compare us to other products costing at least twice as much to be fair. Once a Jervis Bench is assembled, planted, and finished it will have a comparable value more than twice it's cost. An example is a $189 ViewFinder bench; once assembled, planted and finished it has a comparable value of $400 or more. The labor that creates 50% or more of it's value is provided by you. We provide the means to do it quickly and efficiently. As a professional, you have the capacity to artfully place and then skillfully install this furniture to create a value far more than twice the initial cost, then include your normal markup. It is the 2X+rule. It's a professional advantage.
We are new and quite small. Our mission is to work with professional landscape designers and their associated contractors, as well as motivated property owners, to make beautiful outdoor spaces accessible, a destination in our lives. One we can afford. One that will last.
It's really that simple.
Please contact me if there is anyway I can serve you.
